This foundations course introduces digital data
representation, digital media, open source software, library
automation, CMS, networking, and web design concepts for libraries
and archives. The emphasis is on developing a solid
understanding of technologies used for digitization, storage,
computer security, web development, and Library 2.0
applications, such as blogs, wikis, and virtual worlds that are
featured in current library environments.
